Court-Ordered Theft Awareness Program in Kentucky
Theft awareness class and anti-shoplifting course online for Kentucky residents. Jennifer Schroeder, M.S., CADC teaches our evidence-based impulse control curriculum on live Zoom. Receive your certificate once your hours are complete. Acceptance is up to your court, diversion program, or probation officer, so confirm before you book.
About the class
Schroeder Counseling's theft awareness class serves Kentucky residents. You may need to complete a court-ordered theft awareness class, an anti-shoplifting course, or a retail fraud diversion program. Our class runs on live, interactive online sessions led by Jennifer Schroeder, M.S., CADC, with a focus on theft intervention and impulse control.
What you’ll learn
The curriculum looks at the psychological and social factors behind theft. It uses evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and impulse control training. You learn how theft affects victims and communities. You practice impulse control and decision-making under pressure. You examine the consequences of petty theft, shoplifting, retail fraud, and larceny. You also build personal accountability, healthy coping mechanisms, and relapse prevention strategies.
If a court ordered it
A court in Kentucky may have ordered your theft awareness class. It could be for shoplifting, petty theft, retail fraud, petty larceny, grand larceny, embezzlement, or another theft-related offense. The class comes in 4, 8, 12, or 16-hour lengths. Select the number of hours listed in your court order, probation instructions, employer notice, or referral paperwork. If your hours are unclear, call (734) 834-6934 before you book.
Your certificate
Your signed certificate is issued the same day after you complete all required sessions and your attendance is verified. Each certificate lists your full name, total hours completed, session dates, and curriculum description. It also shows our counselor's credentials and verification details. On request, we send program information to your court, probation officer, or diversion coordinator.
For Kentucky courts
If your order comes from a court in Kentucky, such as Jefferson County Circuit Court, Fayette County Circuit Court, or Kenton County Circuit Court, or from a diversion program, you can take this class online from home. Each court sets its own rules, so confirm with your court, probation officer, or diversion coordinator that a live online class fits your order.
Anywhere in Kentucky
We serve clients in Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, Covington, and Owensboro, spanning Jefferson County, Fayette County, Warren County, and Kenton County, and every other community in Kentucky. Every session runs live over Zoom. So your city and how rural your county is do not affect your access or how fast you get your certificate.
