Court-Ordered Drug & Alcohol Awareness Education in Pennsylvania

Drug and alcohol awareness education online for Pennsylvania residents with a court, probation, or employer requirement. 1. About the class

   Schroeder Counseling offers drug and alcohol awareness classes online to Pennsylvania residents. You join live, interactive sessions led by Jennifer Schroeder, M.S., CADC. The class is built for people who must complete substance awareness education, for example after a drug possession charge, a minor in possession (MIP) case, an underage drinking offense, or a substance-related probation violation. It is education, not treatment.

2. What you’ll learn

   The evidence-based curriculum covers how drugs and alcohol affect the body and brain. You learn to recognize patterns of substance use and abuse. You explore the stages of addiction. You see how impaired driving harms victims and communities. You review the legal consequences of DUI/DWI and drug offenses. You practice responsible decision-making. You build healthy coping strategies to prevent future substance-related offenses.

3. If a court ordered it

   You may be court-ordered to take a drug and alcohol awareness class in Pennsylvania. It could be for underage possession, MIP, a drug paraphernalia charge, or another substance-related offense. The class comes in 4, 8, 12, or 16-hour lengths, with evening and weekend times that fit around your work and family. Select the number of hours listed in your court order, probation instructions, employer notice, or referral paperwork. If your hours are unclear, call (734) 834-6934 before you book.

4. Education, not treatment

   This is a drug and alcohol education class, not DUI school or substance abuse treatment. If your requirement comes from a DMV, the Secretary of State, or a DUI school or program, confirm with them before you book. If your order calls for a substance abuse assessment or evaluation instead, that is a separate service we also offer.

5. Your certificate

   Your signed certificate is issued the same day after you complete all required sessions and your attendance is verified. Each certificate lists your full name, total hours, session dates, and curriculum description. It also shows our counselor's credentials and verification details. On request, we send program information to your court, probation officer, or diversion coordinator.

6. For Pennsylvania courts

   If your order comes from a court in Pennsylvania, such as Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia Municipal Court, or Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, you can take this class online from home. Each court sets its own rules, so confirm with your court or probation officer that a live online class fits your order.

7. Anywhere in Pennsylvania

   We serve clients in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Erie, and Reading, spanning Philadelphia County, Allegheny County, Lehigh County, and Erie County, and every other community in Pennsylvania. Every session runs live over Zoom. So your city and how rural your county is do not affect your access or how fast you get your certificate.
